Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for providing financial management of the company’s operations. Basic duties
include preparing accurate financial and budgetary reports and coordinating and supervising the operation of
the Financial Services Department activities and staff. Prepare budgets and financial reports in a timely and
accurate manner. Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting
principles. Prepare annual audit schedules to enable independent audit of the year-end financial statements.
Prepare grant applications, budgets and monthly invoices as required by funders. Assist with the preparation
of the annual budget and other reports as directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
Skills/Experience/Education:
Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of: Bachelor degree in
Accounting or Business Administration plus five years’ experience in an automated accounting
environment. Experience in not-for-profit services desirable.
Minimum of two years of prior supervisory experience required.
Excellent facility in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and
Internet Explorer.
Experience with ADP Payroll processing software, Great Plains Dynamics accounting software and
FRx report writer software desirable.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain high level of confidentiality; must sign
confidentiality agreement.
Organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to multi-task and meet established
deadlines.
Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative.
Strong analytical skills including ability to interpret and present data.
Good working knowledge of financial and budgetary preparation, standard accounting and
operating procedures and principles and not-for profit accounting principles.
Licenses, Credentials, Certifications:
