The ELSTI project (European Languages for Secretaries – Transfer of Innovation 446/11.12.07 -) has been carried out with the support of the European community. The content of the project
does not necessarily reflect the position of the European Community or the Romanian National Agency for Community
Programmes in the Field of Education and Vocational Training, nor does it involve any responsibility on their part.
General information about the project
The ELSTI project has been financed by the European Commission in the framework of Life Long
Learning Programme, Leonardo Da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation.
The project is coordinated by EuroEd Foundation in cooperation with the partners from England, Italy,
Lithuania and Romania.
Aims
The aims of the ELSTI project is to improve communication between the European countries and to
transfer the results of the precedent Leonardo ELS project in new economic sectors. The starting point
of the ELSTI project was for secretarial and administrative staff of the SMEs to manage contacts with
people from other countries that need to use foreign languages and to know the business and
professional cultures of other European countries. The main result of the ELSTI project is the ELSTI
portal (www.eurobusinesslanguageskills.net) that allows the user to learn 4 different languages (English,
French, Italian and Spanish) and to be familiar with business and professional cultures of 10 European
countries.
Project Partners
EuroEd Fondation (RO)
EuroED is a member of the Romanian Association for Quality Language Services based in Iasi (RO) and
is in charge of the coordination of the activities
Connectis (IT)
Connectis is a web agency based in Prato (IT) and is responsible for the technical issues of the project
Kaunas University of Technology (LT)
The language Department of the University of Technology based in Kaunas (LT) will be responsible for
the development of the Lithuanian Business Culture Module and will cooperate in all the other activities
of the project
No Limits Education and Training (UK)
No Limits is a teachers’ education and training centre based in Nottingham (UK) and is responsible for
the development of the online training package to increase student motivation
Pixel (IT)
Pixel is a educational institution based in Florence (IT) and is responsible for the internal evaluation of
the project. Pixel is also the promoter of the project where the ELS portal has been developed
PROSPER-ASE Language Centre (RO)
Prosper ASE is Language centre based in Bucharest (RO) and is responsible for the development of the
Impact Research of the ELSTI project
