3) Fill out the necessary information to create an
account.
To view all facets that Google has to offer:

2) In the upper left, click on “more” and “even more”.
3) On the right, under “Communication, show, and
care” is where you will see the many aspects that
you can use!
Facet #1: Blogger (Note: get to blogger by signing into www.google.com,
clicking on moreeven moreblogger. You will go through this process for each google
facet!)
1) Choose “create a blog.”
2) Give your blog a name (Ex. Ms. Horng’s Advanced
Algebra)
3) Choose a template. Once you have done so, you
can create posts this way. Try posting something
(even if it just says “test”).
Take a look a few of the blogs below for some ideas:
Example for Geometry class:

Facet #2: Calendar (Go back to www.google.com, click on moreeven
morecalendar.)
1) Create a calendar by choosing “add” under “My
calendars”. You can name this calendar
“Test_”. Here, you can choose to
make the calendar public (to everybody), or you
can choose to share your calendar with specific
people. Choose “Create calendar” when you are
done with these settings. See picture below.
2) You should now see your test
calendar appear on the left
under “My Calendars”.
Highlight your test calendar. On
the upper left, you can click on
“create an event”. Go ahead and
put your birthday in your test
calendar, with yearly repeats, as
an event and choose “save”.
3) I would like you to try and share
this test calendar with me. To do
this, go to “settings” (see picture
above). Click on the calendar
name. On the top, choose “share
this calendar”. Type in my email
address: Jeanette.horng@gmail.com and choose save.

Facet #3: Google Docs (Go back to www.google.com, click on
moreeven moredocuments.)

video for a brief overview:

Note: You can search for these tutorials on youtube anytime you are wondering how to do something!
2) To create a document IN google docs (that can be
shared/edited by all who are part of it), click on
“create new”. In the right, click on “Share invite
people”.
People will need to be signed into google at the
same time as you in order to use this feature. You
can try this if someone is also signed on google
when you are signed on, otherwise you can just
move on.
3) Now, I want you to try posting something on
google docs (that you will eventually share with
me).
In Google Documents, click upload on the upper left. Click
on “select files to upload” and choose something to share
with me. When it is finished uploading, click on “start
upload”.
4) Now I want you to
with me. Click on
“back to Google
Docs”. Select the
document that you
uploaded earlier.
Choose “invite people”
and type my name:

to give editing or viewing priveleges to the person you
