               The College fair brings colleges and universities from around the country to recruit new students. Visit

 22nd          School/Community Culturally Diverse Scholarship and Financial Aid Workshop
               CCSD seniors and their parents are invited to attend the School/Community Culturally Diverse Scholarship and
               Financial Aid Workshops. The general presentation will held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. At 7:00 p.m.,
               representatives from community cultural groups will provide specific cultural scholarship and financial aid
               information. This is an excellent opportunity for seniors and their parents to learn more about the
               college/university financial aid and scholarship process.

 NOVEMBER
 1ST & 2ND     Las Vegas National Performing Arts Auditions
               Two day event for SENIORS who wish to audition for dance, theatre and technical theatre programs from top
               colleges in the nation. Cost is FREE. Students MUST go to www.ccsd.net/lvnpaa to register (click on area they wish
               to audition) and fill out/submit application. They will then need to send their resume and photo per instructions
               on website to obtain their Audition number.

 APRIL

 6th – 9th     The CCSD Indian Education Opportunities Program (IEOP) 2008-2009 College Tour
               The IEOP College Tour will be going to universities in Arizona. The selected schools have programs in place
               specifically for American Indian and Alaska Native students. The Indian Education Opportunities Program (IEOP)
               will cover all expenses excluding meals which will be the responsibility of the student. Interested students should
               call the IEOP at (702) 799-8515 or email the staff indianeducation@interact.ccsd.net to verify eligibility before
               completing the application. See attached flyer for more information.

 12TH – 17TH   Unity through knowledge

               Students are invited to the 32 annual HBCU Tour will visit Bowie State, Coppin State, Hampton, Howard, Norfolk
               State, Virginia State and Virginia Zunion in Washington DC & Virginia. The cost for the 6day/5 night tour is only
               $1,050 fee includes round trip airfare, travel, hotel, guided campus tours, nightly college preparatory seminars & a
               comprehensive tour of Washington DC including all the historical and cultural monuments and memorials.
               Registration will begin Saturday, September 13 and conclude October 25, 2008. Interested students will be
               required to pay a $200, non-refundable deposit payment to reserve a seat. Seats are limited and based on a first
