Our client is an award winning manufacturer and distributor of Liquid Handling Technology. They have
achieved phenomenal year on year growth for the last twelve years which is only set to continue. Each
one of their sales representatives has far exceeded sales target and they enjoyed record level UK sales
in February 2010. Their success is founded on its expertise in manufacturing high quality laboratory
consumables for life science research and development. A dynamic company with a focus on new
product development, they have extended their portfolio and now have an extensive range of pipette
tips, pipettes, tissue culture plastics, PCR and high through put consumables as well as a successful
Pipette Calibration and Repair Service which is UKAS accredited. This a team focused organisation
that empowers its UK sales and marketing team through regular training, sales meetings and
inspirational management.
They immediately seek a highly dedicated, enthusiastic and customer focused Account Manager to be
responsible for existing account management and business development for half of the London area.
The postcode areas include BR, CR, CT, BA, E, EC, EN, IG, KT, ME, N, RM, SE, SS, SG and TN
postcodes. The role will encompass 75% account management to include Kings College, National
Heart & Lung Institute, ICMS accounts and 25% new business development. Reporting to the National
Sales Manager, you will be tasked with selling the company’s products and services in territory to
Universities and life science research institutes. The successful applicant needs to live on territory in a
commutable distance to all postcodes covered. A fully equipped home office will be provided.
Applicants must have either worked within a laboratory and will have used molecular biology
consumables, such as pipettes, pipette tips, tissue culture plastics, PCR consumables and/or other
liquid handling technology in the lab now looking for their first commercial role with a strong desire to
carve a career in sales OR already selling life science supplies or laboratory consumables into
Academic accounts, private and public research laboratories or the NHS.
