2004 Annual County Profile Ida Executive Summary As of 2003, Ida County’s largest private sector was Manufacturing, representing 29.29 percent (1,017) of the county’s total covered employment of 3,472. The county’s total employment decreased by 2.33 percent since 2002, but the average annual wage increased by 2.91 percent to $26,825 for all industries. Ida County’s average weekly wage for all industries was $516 for 2003. This was an increase of 2.99 percent since 2002. The highest average weekly wage for a private sector was Professional & Business Services, averaging $799 with gross total wages of $6.4 million. This sector had the largest percentage increase in average weekly wage of 160.26 percent ($492) between 2002 and 2003, due primarily to an increase in the Management of Companies industry in 2003.
