2004 Annual County Profile Crawford Executive Summary As of 2003, Crawford County’s largest private industry was Manufacturing, representing 30.89 percent (2,175) of the county’s total covered employment of 7,042. Food Manufacturing comprises over 90.0 percent of the sector’s employment. Although the county’s total employment decreased by 0.28 percent since 2002, the average annual wage increased by 4.26 percent to $26,251 for all industries. Crawford County’s average weekly wage for all industries was $505 for 2003. This was an increase of 4.34 percent since 2002. The highest average weekly wage was in the Information sector, averaging $651 with gross total wages of $1.50 million. Between 2002 and 2003, the Natural Resources & Mining sector had the largest percentage increase in average weekly wage of 27.19 percent ($127).
