Yogurberry ATL Goes Local: Supporting Local Dairies & Farmers
Atlanta (September 16th, 2010)–Yogurberry, the leader in frozen yogurts, is hosting a can-a-
thon. This can-a-thon will begin October 17th, 2010 and conclude with a big celebration on
October 29th, 2010 with Yogurberry and Cantina Mexican restaurant.
Yogurberry Atlanta is not your average yogurt shop. Yogurberry yogurt is 100% all natural,
non-fat, and low calorie frozen yogurts. Owner Brian Hay’s vision for the store after he took
ownership in December 2008, was to make frozen yogurt the all natural way. By using locally
produced milk, granola, honey, yogurt, and berries, his vision came to a reality. Brian wanted his
Atlanta Yogurberry store to break the mold of the franchise. Brian visited the corporate offices
of Yogurberry in Korea to get some ideas of what he wanted to keep the same and what he
needed to change.
Due to Brian Hay’s culinary experience and extreme diligence with the store, Yogurberry
Atlanta is now one of the most popular Atlanta yogurt shops and one the most successful
Yogurberry shops nationwide. Brian is originally from Korea and came to America with his
wife, Judy. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles. The experience he has had
from all his travels and studies help him create this vision of a store. He expanded the menu to
over 30 different flavors of frozen yogurt. Yogurberry Atlanta really is down to its root a
family owned business.
Since Brian Hay took over in 2008 the success of Yogurberry Atlanta has been incredibly.
Celebrities like television personality Mia Butler, Atlanta Hawks’ Maurice Mo Evans, singer
Montana Tucker, actor, singer and dancer Elijah Kelley, and music legend Michael Mauldin
have come to sample to delicious Yogurberry yogurt.
Yogurberry was voted “Best frozen yogurt of Atlanta,” by citysearch.com and
repeatatlanta.com. Yelp.com also raved about Yogurberry. One review stated, "Brian did a
great job, he has great energy and a wonderful product." Owner Brian Hay said “Yogurberry
Atlanta will be a different experience than any other yogurt you have encountered. The success
from our Atlanta location has been overwhelming and I couldn’t be more pleased”.
The event will be located in the patio just outside of Cantina Mexican restaurant and
Yogurberry. There will be celebrity appearances and performances. Cantina will be having
happy hour specials and appetizer samples. You will also get the opportunity to sample flavors
of Yogurberry yogurt and meet the owner, Brian Hay.
