under order of Governor Allenson, systematically rounds up all metahumans and transports them under
armed guard to a series of warehouses on the Seattle waterfront. They are told that they are being
deported to camps near San Francisco, CFS. In one of the warehouses a series of screams prompts
gunfire from the guards. Panic and hysteria takes over. One of the warehouses catches fire due to
explosions. Soon all warehouses are burning. Some witnesses claim to see Hand of Five terrorists in the
area. The Metroplex Guard does nothing to stop the blaze. As news of the incident reaches the public,
citizens protest the barbaric treatment of the metahumans. The United Corporate Council threatens
Governor Allenson with lock-outs and boycotts to force him to act against the terrorism. By the time
Governor Allenson acts, the fire has already ended and many of the metahumans are dead. This incident
sparks violence around the city. Similar events occur worldwide. Thousands are killed. These are mostly
metahumans, their supporters, and those cosmetically altered to look like metahumans. In New York

combination of explosives and magic against the supports of the nine units making up the Sears Tower,

streets and sidewalks. Thousands are crushed to death. Gas lines rupture and the whole area goes up in
flames. A second Chicago Fire is narrowly averted by mages who contain the blaze in less than an hour.

2053 - In Chicago, Illinois, UCAS, two months after its opening, a group of Humanis Policlub members
attack the Cabrini Refuge with automatic weapons. The ghouls, apparently having prepared for such an
event, move underground. When the Humanis soldiers step onto Cabrini Refuge territory, the Ghouls
attack in force. 100 Humanis members are killed and eaten. Lawyers for the Cabrini Refuge point out that
under Article 16 of Special Order 162, Cabrini Refuge inhabitants have the right to eat anyone found on
their property. This as well as rumors of a government plan to exterminate the ghouls of Cabrini Refuge
bring tensions between the ghouls and humans to an all time high. Knight-Errant, hired to provide security
to Cabrini Refuge, fulfills its contract but refuses to renew it. The day of the end of Knight-Errant's
contract, Humanis Policlub tries to frame the ghouls for a massacre by attaching nerve gas canisters to
ghoul children. A riot breaks out and many people and ghouls are killed. As a result the UCAS government
repeals Special Order 162 and contains the entire Cabrini Refuge in a prefab wall. (Bug City)

company is noted for being one of the first to create commercially viable bioware technology. The
company is later revealed to have belonged through a series of shell companies to Damien Knight. Knight

are using an experimental simsense hook-up that allows them to access each other’s senses. One of the
pilots flies too close to Tir Tairngire territory and fires two Rattlesnake III air-to-air missiles at the drone.
One missile destroys the drone but the other flies into Multnomah Falls Park and impacts with a tour bus
containing the children of Tir Tairngire corporate executives. 200 children are killed. The two pilots,
Jonathan Winger and Tamara Ny as well as the ground tech, Theodore Rico, are arrested and sentenced to
