Sunday Night Crown Valley Speaker Meeting – Leader Format
Welcome to the Sunday Night Crown Valley Speaker Meeting of Alcoholics
Anonymous. My name is ________________________ and I am an alcoholic and
your leader for tonight’s meeting.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their
experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their
common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only
requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no
dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our
own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics,
organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy;
neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay
sober and to help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
Will you please join me in the Serenity Prayer?
I have identified myself as an alcoholic. Are there any other alcoholics
present here tonight? . . . Welcome.
If there is anyone here tonight in their first thirty days of sobriety, would
you please stand and tell us your name so that we may get to know you
better? . . . Welcome.
Are there any visitors from outside the Orange County area? . . . Welcome.
Do we have any Al-Anons with us tonight? . . . Welcome.

At this meeting, all lengths of sobriety are recognized by handing out
marbles and chips. If you are taking a birthday tonight, please limit your
sharing to two minutes so that everyone has a chance to share while
respecting the allotted time for the speakers. At this time, I will turn the

Before we have our ten minute break, we would like to remind the
smokers to please use the butt cans provided, and remember that the
Community Center asks that we smoke only in the designated area out by
the light pole before, during and after the meeting.
