Major Research Interests
   1. Vocal Fold Fibrosis – Work in this area focuses on the basic mechanisms of vocal fold
      wound healing and on treatment. Current research focuses on the effects of lasers on
      vocal fold fibrosis.
   2. Autofluorescence and Light-Scattering Spectroscopy – Work in this area has focused on
      the development of a tool to enhance endoscopic diagnosis of dysplasia and malignancy.
   3. High Speed Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Swallow Sequence – Work in this area
      has focused on using high-speed MRI technology to enhance the understanding of
      swallow anatomy and physiology.
