My Special Number Project
PROJECTS ARE DUE ON:
Now it’s time to put your knowledge of numbers to work! In this project you will be
sharing everything you learned in Prime Time about the Special Number you have chosen
(a number between 10 and 100). Here are your guidelines:
1. Choose a Format: Pick a way to show off your special number, here’s a few
suggestions…
- Story (any genre) - Posterboard
- Magazine Article - Comic
- Podcast - iMovie
- Poem - Song
- Diary (Day in the Life of…) - Brochure
- Letter - Menu
…or any other ideas your brilliant brain can come up with, just run it by Mr. Shavitz
first!
2. Show your Knowledge: Your project must have the following components:
a) Use at least 10 vocabulary terms listed below in your project

b) Create a Venn diagram for finding EITHER the LCM or GCF of your number and
another number of your choice
c) Write a word problem using your special number in the problem or as the
answer
d) Find the prime factorization for your number
e) Include at least 10 connections between your number and the real world
(example: I have 20 windows in my house)
