LCSS User Backup
The LCSS User Backup program is a quick and easy way to backup all of your important data on your district owned computer. The Technology Department
suggests that you backup your personal data at least once a week. To run a complete data backup all you need to do is follow these steps:
1. Close all running programs and open documents. Be especially sure to close Microsoft Outlook.
2. Click the start button then browse to your "All Programs" folder (on some computers the list is called "Programs").
3. Locate "LCSS User Backup".
4. Click on "Run User Backup.bat".
5. A black box will pop up and you will begin to see lines of text appear. When the box closes the backup is complete.
That’s it. You can do this as often as you like. In the event of a system/hard drive crash or a new computer install, this backup will allow your schools
Technology Support Specialist to quickly retrieve all of your backed up data.
**Please note that the LCSS User Backup Program does not backup any video or movie files.**
