SOLARIS INSTALLATION STEPS Login to the server console by using hyperterminal / Tera Term. Below are the Screenshots of the All the steps which Come During Installation. 1)



2) Select 0 for English.



3) Select the type of terminal ,3 for DEC VT100.



4) Press Esc + 2 to Continue.



5) Select Network Interface bge0. And Press Esc + 2 to Continue.



6) Select Subnet for bge0 by Selecting Yes & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



7) Enter Net mask 255.255.255.0 for bge0 & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



8) Select No to Disable IPv6 & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



9) Set the Default Root for Bge0 by Choosing specify One Option & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



10) Enter the Router IP Address for bge0 & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



11) Confirmation Screen will pop up for the Information Entered & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



12) Specify No to Use Standard UNIX Security & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



13) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



14) Name Service is not Used so select None & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



15) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



16) Select Time Zone & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



17) Select Country & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



18) Enter Date & Time & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



19) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



20) Enter Root Password & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



21) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



22) Select Yes to Enable Remote Services & Press Esc + 2 to continue.

24) Press Esc + 2 to continue with Standard Installation.



25) Select Automatically eject CD/DVD & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



26) Press Esc + 4 to continue with Initial Option.



27) Press Esc + 2 to Accept License & Continue.



28) Select Required Geographic Regions & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



29) Select System Locale POSIX C (C) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



30) Select Sun Validation Test Suite & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



31) Select the Solaris Software to Install on the system which is Entire Distribution plus OEM support & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



32) Select Disk Device for installing solaris which is clt0d0 & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



33) Select the Boot Disk for Installing Root (/) file system of Solaris which is clt0d0 & Press Esc + 2 to continue



34) To Reconfigure EEPROM Press Esc + 2 to continue.



35) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



36) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



37) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



38) Enter the size of Mount Points & Press Esc + 2 to continue.



39) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



40) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



41) Press Esc + 2 to continue.



42) Press Press Esc + 2 to continue.



43) Press Press Esc + 2 to continue.

47) Press Y to Override the System’s Default NFS Version 4 domain Name.

49) After the above steps completed successfully you will be able to see the # Shell.
