Dear Friends,

Spring! Finally, we can say it’s here. Seems like we had to
wait a long time for spring to show up this year.

We wait for spring to come and flowers to bud and for the
earth to green up once again. We wait for seeds and flowers to
grow. For the gardeners among us, planting time is almost here,
when the danger of frost is gone. As we wait for the freshly
planted garden to grow, we hold a vision of what the garden will
be someday. You cannot hurry it along. Spring comes when it’s
time, flowers bloom when it’s time. Gardens grow when it's time.
Gardens teach us to wait, to be patient and to pay attention.

Gardening is a spiritual activity, for gardens have deep spiritual
lessons for us. They teach us about waiting and hope. As
Christians, we know something about that.

Even though spring can take forever to get here, we trust it to
return, a good reminder of resurrection. Life over death. The first
shoots of green in the garden testify to all who will listen the
message we have been waiting for has arrived! Resurrection!
This year as you wait and hope for new life, remember it's coming
as surly as the garden grows.

Christ is Risen. Christ is Risen Indeed!

   Blessings,
   Pastor Linda
