Johnson County LEPC -- MINUTES
March 10, 2010
Location: Texas Harris Health Methodist Hospital, 200 Walls Dr.
Attendees: Richard Van Winkle, Randy Jenkins, Gary Little, Tommy Osborne, Ron Coulter, Victor Fuchs, Jeff Pakeltis, Paul
Hinman, Nancy Holt, Mindie Wilson, Gary Parks and Joey Reed.
Randy Jenkins called meeting to order at 1213 p.m. Meeting minutes from January 13, 2010, were presented by Randy Jenkins.
A motion to approve minutes as written was made by Gary Little, and second by Jeff Pakeltis. Motion approved unanimously.
Paul Hinman gave the financial report. He reported a current balance of $2,228.18 as of 02-28-2010.
A. Tier II reports have been submitted by all agencies. LEPC will obtain Johnson County Tier II’s from the State on CD and
distribute to first responders.
B. Updated roster will be sent to County Judge for 2010.
A. Richard Van Winkle gave power point review of chemical release (Nitric Oxide) incident at Air Products facility in
Pasadena. The review included; issues with release reporting and dispatch protocols.
B. Randy Jenkins gave review of suicide by chemical report (Hydrogen Sulfide) from Wake County North Carolina.

New Business: Jeff PaKeltis made motion for the LEPC to donate $400 to the annual Salvation Army Safety Camp. Motion was
seconded by Richard Van Winkle. No discussion, motion carried unanimously.
Next Meeting Date: May 12, 2010 Time:1200 to 1300 Location: Texas Health Cleburne (201 Walls Dr.)
Announcements: The City of Cleburne is hosting a full scale FEMA graded exercise for its Reception Center for persons
evacuated from the Emergency Planning Zone around Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP) on August 18, 2010.
Radiological training for first responders will be provided by DSHS at the Cleburne Conference Center on May 11, 12, 13, 2010.
The same class will be repeated three times. (See attached flyer).
A motion to adjourn was made by Jeff Pakeltis and seconded by Nancy Holt. Motion approved unanimously.
