JOB TITLE                       DEPUTY FUNDRAISING CO-ORDINATOR, AREA 2

REPORTS TO                      AREA FUNDRAISING MANAGER

SALARY                          £15,000 - £17,000 per annum

WORKING FROM                    Alkmaar Way, Norwich International Business Park,
                                Norwich

WORKING HOURS                   37.5 per week (flexible according to contract terms)

SPECIAL CONDITIONS Regular evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work will be
                   required. The successful applicant will need to have their
                   own vehicle.

Main job purpose

To assist the Area Fundraising Manager in all fundraising activities. Recruit and manage
volunteers, to attend events and cheque presentations, give talks and help with collection
boxes.

Main duties and responsibilities

1.    To liaise with the Area Fundraising Manager to attend events and cheque
      presentations and to give talks throughout the area. This will involve regular evening,
      weekend and Bank Holiday work.

2.    To work in liaison with the Area Fundraising Manager on developing and
      implementing new fundraising initiatives.

3.    To assist in all aspects of collection boxes throughout the area.

4.    With the Area Fundraising Manager undertake the recruitment and management of
      new volunteers and to help with the management of existing volunteers.

5.    To bank all monies collected and keep proper records. To inform the Area
      Fundraising Manager on a weekly basis of the amounts raised and banked.

6.    To undertake all necessary administrative duties identified by the Area Fundraising
      Manager to assist the work of the Charity.

7.    To attend and contribute to regular meetings with Area Fundraising Manager.

8.    To deputise for the Fundraising Co-ordinator at such events as may be identified
      from time to time and in particular to deputise at times of annual leave and notified
      sickness.

9.    To undertake other duties which may reasonably be required on occasion to assist
      the work of the charity.

10. To comply with any and all legal requirements governing fundraising activity as
    directed by Charity management.

11. To act in accordance with all the charity’s policies and procedures.

12. To observe all Heath & Safety rules and to take reasonable care to promote heath
    and safety at work for all employees.

Experience of dealing with people at all levels.
Self-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic.
Natural team worker
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills
Able to work with minimum supervision
Flexible approach to work and unsocial hours
Current driving licence
Excellent English Language skills
Competent IT skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience of motivating and co-ordinating personnel and volunteers

Knowledge/Experience:

Proven track record of accurately recording and dealing with money

Skills and Abilities:

Good organisational skills

High standards of IT skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
