A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Bill
"Crush" Dingus.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Bill "Crush"
Dingus, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Bill "Crush" Dingus was born on November 7, 1933, a native of
Martin, Floyd County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on January 14,
2003; and
WHEREAS, Bill "Crush" Dingus was the loving son of Hazel Taylor Robinson and
the late Arthur Dingus; he was the devoted father of two sons, Bobby Sherman Dingus
and Billy Dingus, both of Martin, a daughter, Diane Dingus Spurlock of Allen, and two
step-daughters, Carla Felty and Jammie Martin, both of McDowell; and he was the proud
grandfather of five grandchildren, Bobby Sherman Dingus II, David Cline, Traci Dingus,
Gina Justus and Kellie Dingus Spurlock; and he was the loving great-grandfather of three
great-grandchildren, Brandon Daniel Justus, Hannah Grace Dingus and Connor Graham
Spurlock; and he also leaves behind a loving sister, Florence Arnett of Madisonville; and
WHEREAS, Bill "Crush" Dingus was an active and involved member of the Floyd
County community where he was a former Eastern Kentucky Transportation liaison for
the Governor's Office; he was a graduate of Martin High School and Pikeville College,
and he was a member of Salyersville First Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Bill "Crush" Dingus has left a void that cannot be filled,
and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky:
Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the
passing of Bill "Crush" Dingus, and extends to his family its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and

honor of Bill "Crush" Dingus.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this
