The Feb. 10th meeting of the Las Vegas Bead Society was held at the IHOP, 5970 Centennial Center Drive
with 17 individuals in attendance (13 members and 4 guests). Meeting was called to order at 7:20 p.m. by
The beading group met prior to the meeting at 5 p.m. and worked on individual projects.

President Joy explained to members that the society could no longer meet at the West Sahara Library and a
new location would have to be found.
The only way the society could meet at the library is to file a Non-Profit Status Form with the Secretary of
State, which involves attorney fees and would be costly. To avoid the cost, another location might be
She requested members present to contact locations of interest and get back with her by next meeting with
information regarding a new location.
Members commented on IHOP’s lighting was poor for beading but everything else was fine, service,
Members suggested Lorenze Park, Garden Center, Shriners, Sunrise Hospital, CSN, Meso, Michael’s,
Springs Preserve to name a few.
Another member is to check on the Non-Profit Form to see if there is a less expensive route that can be
taken and will report back at the next meeting.
Beading Group will be at IHOP on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.
