Troop Activity Commitment
Troop 443 is planning to attend: Haliburton Scout Reservation – Haliburton, Canada. The trip will begin: Thursday, July 14,
2011 at 6:00 AM, and will end: Saturday, July 23, 2010 at 10:00 PM (Approx Time). Travel Information:
1. Departure: We will meet at Cherry Hill Middle School parking lot at 5:45 AM and depart at 6:00 AM on Thursday, July
14th. Parent’s, please do not leave until we have verified that all permission slips and health forms are in order. Once we
have verified everything and loaded personal gear we will take off for camp. We will be stopping along the way to camp for
lunch and diner. The scout will need $10.00 to $20.00 for meals. We will overnight at Stonehaven Scout Camp near Niagara
Falls the nights of the 14th and 15th.
2. Niagara Falls: On Friday July 15th we will visit the US side of Niagara Falls when the scout will need $5.00 to $10.00 for
lunch. Admission fees are included in the camp costs. On Saturday morning, July 16 we will drive to Haliburton, Canada.
3. Return: We will return on Saturday, July 23rd, by 10:00PM (Approx. Time) to Cherry Hill Middle School. We will be
stopping along the way home for lunch. The scout will need $10.00 to $20.00 for lunch and dinner
The cost of the trip will be $450 per scout plus any additional costs of incidentals purchased at camp. Includes:
Program/Camping fees for Haliburton and Stonehaven, Niagara Falls admission, gas stipend and tolls for drivers, and camp meals.

Refunds: In the event the scout is not able to attend camp after signing up, a written request must be sent to the Troop Committee
Chairman. A full refund will be made if the written request is received before March 1st. Any requests received after March 1st
will forfeit the initial deposit.
Travel: It is Boy Scout Policy and Troop Policy to travel as a group to and from camp in our class A uniforms. The scouts will
need money for meals on travel days as outlined above. $30.00 - $40.00 should be plenty. Other than an occasional snack from
the trading post or a camp t-shirt there will not be any other expenses.
Troop 443 does not keep track of the money for the scouts, but we can manage a strong box “bank” containing envelopes
with parent’s instructions for disbursement. Scouts are responsible for keeping track of their own money and budgeting so
that they have meal money for the trip home. Haliburton SR uses a cashless system where scouts charge their purchases –
parents will have to establish clear ground rules for their scouts.

charges he makes at Haliburton SR. In the event of an emergency, I hereby authorize trained medical personnel to treat my
