Contractor to provide all labor and materials necessary to perform cryogenic cleaning of ventilation ducts onboard the boat. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the ESPECs incorporated into this document via Attachments I through VII. The following guidelines MUST be met during cleaning of ventilation system on U.S. Navy submarines: 1. Contractor shall take a baseline CO2 and O2 readings prior to starting any dry ice cleaning procedure. 2. Monitoring shall be completed on very accessible compartment on the vessel. 3. All CO2 and O2 readins shall be taken before and after vent cleaning each day. 4. CO2 and 02 readings shall be monitored continuously onboard submarines. Cleaning shall cease anytime CO2 readings exceed 3000 ppm or O2 levls drop below 19.6%. When the cleaning process has been stopped, identify the deficiency and correct. Once corrected and CO2 readings are below 2000 ppm and O2 reading are above 19.6%, cleaning may be resumed. 5. In addition to monirong CO2 and O2, all standard shipboard safety procedures shall be followed. 6. Contractor providing the required services shall have an approved vent cleaning procedure prior to start of any cleaning., NAVSEA Coe 05Z42 and NSWCCD-SSES Code 921 must approve all procedures. Anticipated period of performance: 26 JUL 2010 through 27 Aug 2010. NNSY’s normal hours of operation are 7:20 am to 3:50 PM, Monday through Friday. All work shall be accomplished during these hours unless otherwise agreed upon between the Contractor’s Representative and the authorized Government Point of Contact identified herein. NOTE: 1. Overtime is not anticipated to be required during the performance of the contract. In the event that it becomes necessary, proper authorization from a warranted Contracting Officer MUST be received PRIOR to start of any work associated with overtime charges. For pre-planning purposes, contractor is asked to indicate overtime rates via a separate notation to their response. At this time, overtime rates are not to be included in the actual proposed cost for the job. 2.
