Program Description

This program supports innovative grants to IHEs to improve their ability to provide a quality postsecondary

education for students with disabilities.

Types of Projects

Grantees develop innovative, effective, and efficient teaching methods and other strategies to enhance the skills

and abilities of postsecondary faculty and administrators in working with disabled students. Activities include, but

are not limited to: in-service training; professional development; customized and general technical assistance

workshops; summer institutes; distance learning; training in the use of assistive and educational technology; and

research related to postsecondary students with disabilities.
