OSP respectfully requests that investigators submitting applications in response
the NIH Challenge Grant RFA (RC1) adhere to the following timeline to ensure
proper administrative review and timely submission of RC1 applications:
Monday, March 30, 2009:
Investigators are asked to RSVP via email to OSP with their Challenge
Area and Challenge Topics
If any subcontracts will be involved with the RC1 application, Investigators
are asked to identify these institutions and provide the appropriate grants
administrative contacts at these institutions in their RSVP emails.
If Investigators are working with colleagues at other institutions who are
the primary applicants for the RC1, they are asked to provide this
information to OSP.
Monday, April 6, 2009:
Drafts of RC1 budgets and budget narratives due to OSP
Drafts of RC1 subcontract budgets and budget narratives due to OSP
Friday, April 10, 2009:
Draft of the RC1 Adobe package due to OSP (application shell only, no
pdf attachments required)
Final subcontract paperwork due to OSP from subcontract institutions.
This paperwork includes:
1.) NIH Face Page / Letter of Intent signed by subcontract site’s
institutional official
2.) Completed R&R Subaward Budget with budget narrative attached from
RC1 Adobe application package
3.) Clear Statement of Work that will be performed at the subcontract site
Thursday, April 16, 2009:
Final completed version of RC1 Adobe application package due to OSP
Routing form with all appropriate signatures due to OSP
