How To Identify What Patches and Patchsets Installed in Applications 11i Doc ID: Note:162524.1 Last Revision 30-AUG-2003 Date: Type: HOWTO Status: PUBLISHED
goal: How to identify what Applications patches and patchsets are applied fact: Application Install 11.5.5
fix: Prior to Oracle Applications 11.5.5, patch history information was held in the files applptch.txt and applpsum.txt. Oracle Applications 11i, release 11.5.5 contains a new autopatch feature that causes all patch history information to be stored in the database instead of the applptch.txt file as before. The applptch.txt and applpsum.txt files do are not used in 11.5.5 installation, because patch 1899014 is included. See Storing Applied Patch Information In The DatabaseStoring Applied Patch Information In The Database To find details of patches applied since base 11.5.5, run the Oracle Applications Current Patchsets Comparison Tool This also Oracle Applications Current Patchsets Comparison Tool This also works in 11.5.4 for all patches applied since base 11.5.4. In addition, two reports adphrept.sql (patch history) and adfhrept.sql(file history) are provided. Both are located in $AD_TOP/patch/115/sql directory. When the scripts are run under Apps schema from Sqlplus, they create report files called adphrept.r and adfhrept.r respectively. A GUI for querying Patch History and File History information is available as part of the HTMLbased version of Oracle Applications Manager (OAM 11i).
