USE OF PETROLIUM COKE
• Path breaking innovation has been made at Shree in the
management of fuel.
• Petcoke a waste product of refineries have very high calorific
value, high sulphur content & low volatile matter, making it
difficult to burn.
• Shree Cement has boldly taken the decision of replacing
imported coal by petcoke at the time when the success of the
application was not established & none of the cement plant in the
country has ever done so.
• But Shree cement has dared to do so through optimisation in the
process,
• This has resulted in saving of forex & reduced coal
consumption to a lowest value of 9.92%. Also resulted in cleaner
environment & conservation of natural resources.
