Installation of Oracle 9i Application server While installing Oracle 9i AS it asks for the default database created on oracle. If the database was not created in oracle during installation, the below snapshots will show how to create database in oracle 9i database server. 1.1 Database Creation in Oracle Here you give the name of the database to be created as shown in above fig. Enter the password for your database. Default as you see in fig below is 1521. Enter sys password which we had enter in the last step of the database creation process. NT password is the password with which you are logged into system. For example it can be your local admin password. As explained in fig below, put a different username and password for schema. fter installation is finished it will start with configuration assistant. But you can cancel it as the person requiring Oracle 9i AS can configure according to his need. You can cancel the window shown below.
