Frankfort, KY Drop Trailer Program
Dear Valued Carrier:
Pittsburgh Logistics Systems currently looking for additional carriers to participate in a
drop trailer program in Frankfort, KY. We have a need for 10 trailers to supplement the
current program. The trailer would be loaded by the client ‘s personnel, but the driver
would be required to strap and tarp the load before departing. Some live loading is
possible, but very limited. Carriers participating in this program would be required to
drop a trailer for loading. When the trailer is loaded, the carrier is notified and will drop
another trailer and pickup the load.
These loads will consist of building siding and roofing for shipment to job sites in the
East, South East, Midwest, and Texas. The product is bundled and is stacked four to six
foot high on the trailer. Delivery appointment must be strictly adhered to on these job site
shipments.
Pittsburgh Logistics Systems can provide loads from Ambridge, PA Cambridge, OH and
Rochester, NY to assist carrier returning to Frankfort, KY.
General Information:
1. Average shipment weight is 26,000 pounds.
2. Trailer requirements are 48’ and 45’ flatbeds with straps and tarps.
3. Loading hours are 7am till 2pm.
4. Some stop offs are required.
5. Lanes vary from job site to job site.
6. Some live loading can be done Monday thru Friday.
7. Drop trailer loads can be picked up seven days a week.
