The Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through delivery performance
from the manufacturing cells, using their expertise to ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to support
cell activity with the least investment of resources. An analyst uses their planning and scheduling skills to
ensure that cells have adequate materials to meet delivery expectations. Operations Analysts interact with
marketing, engineering, manufacturing management, quality assurance, customer service, and plant
employees to ensure that products will deliver on time.


    Acts to ensure that customer delivery expectations are met including:
     Releasing purchase orders to suppliers
     Sending release notification to suppliers
     Releasing manufacturing orders to supply areas which support the manufacturing cells
     Releasing manufacturing orders for finished product from the manufacturing cells
     Monitoring customer orders and printed pick lists

    Employs operations analysis expertise to manage plant activities through:
       Reviewing customer demand to determine appropriate stocking levels, flow plan, and customer
       promised lead times
     Analyze, troubleshoot, make recommendations, and implement solutions for existing processes
       and procedures
     Improving supply chain performance through internal process improvement

    Drives inventory improvement through:
     Root Cause analysis of inventory inaccuracies determined through cycle count program
     Customer backlog review to determine root cause of past due customer orders
     Supplier improvement programs that include lead time reduction, supplier attributed inventory
        reduction, and supplier delivery performance

    Supports Lean Manufacturing practices by:
     Ensures material flow to and from the cells with interruption or excess by use of Kanban planning
     Establishes flow plan for cell products
     Maintains system data affecting materials management with ERP system
     Works with cell employees, group leaders, and supervision to ensure that material, labor,
        equipment, and information are available to support flow plan

    Participates in improvement activities to support the Center of Excellence by:
     Practical Process Improvement
     Strategic Sourcing Initiatives
     Inventory and Excess and Obsolete inventory reduction initiatives
     Administers company policies and procedures as applicable

                           Note: Other Duties as assigned


Bachelors degree in Logistics or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
experience with international, multi-plant production scheduling and lean manufacturing is preferred;
certified in Production and Inventory Management is a plus; INFORM XA experience is a plus.
