REMINDERS
1. Prior to, or no later than, the day of your move-in, Avista Utilities must be notified of
your tenancy in order to have an accurate reading of your electrical meter. They will
switch the account out of Tule Apartments name and add your name and address to it
so that the bill will come directly to you.
2. Contact Time Warner, First Step Internet, Verizon, or other providers if you desire
their services.
3. If necessary, turn on hot water heater at the electrical panel, located in one of the
bedrooms.
4. Check your door and mailbox keys to ensure they are functioning properly. We
recommend that you take your lease to the main post office on Jefferson Street, tell
the clerk that you are a new tenant at Tule Apartments and have the mailman rekey
your post office box and provide you with a set of 3 keys for it. If you lose your
mailbox key and have the post office replace it they will charge $40 for this service.
5. Take boxes to recycling, rather than discarding them in the dumpsters, or if you are
unable to take them to recycling, break them down completely so that they lie flat,
and place them in the dumpster the evening BEFORE Trash Day. Take large items,
such as furniture, filled boxes, etc., to a second hand shop or to the dump, rather than
discarding them in the dumpster. There is a dumpster located in the parking lot for
Tule Apartment tenants. The sanitation department will not dump overflowing or
blocked-in dumpsters, therefore we ask for cooperation.
6. Throughout your stay, if anything in your apartment is not functioning properly,
please contact us immediately and we will schedule prompt repairs.
7. Bicycles can be attached to the bike racks or need to be taken to your apartment.
Please do not chain them to the building as this inhibits traffic flow and is a potential
danger.
8. Please compile a list of existing damages prior to your tenancy and submit it to the
manager within two (2) weeks of moving in. A copy will be kept on file.
