                                           PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
DUNN PAPER, Port Huron, MI                                                                               2011 to Present
A leading specialty paper manufacturer for the food service, flexible packaging, label and release, and specialty bag paper
markets. Current asset base includes 4 of the 21 Machine Glazed (“MG”) paper machines in the North America and the only
in-line waxing infrastructure in the world. Annual sales are in excess of $80 million.
IT DIRECTOR
Dunn Paper was purchased by a private equity firm in July/2010. Upon investigating the IT infrastructure, they
set aside a budget of $500,000 to modernize/replace the ERP system and insisted they hire an IT Director to
oversee this project. The existing infrastructure includes an IBM iSeries 520 (AS400) along with old RPG IV
code. In addition to this core project of selecting and implementing an ERP system, I also direct and maintain all
IT operations, projects, and technical staff. Within 30 days of my employment, I was invited to join the executive
management committee to review monthly financials, strategic direction and profitability plans.

QUEST SPECIALTY CHEMICALS, Walled Lake, MI                                                                  2008 to 2010
A private equity firm focused on the acquisition and development of chemical businesses engaged in the formulation of
coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomer products. Holdings included Raabe Company (80 employees), Hydro-Stop (50
employees), United Coatings (80 employees), Matrix System Automotive Finishes (110 employees), Fox Color, Custom
Finishes, and Zolatone AIM. Annual sales are in excess of $100 million.
IT DIRECTOR
Direct IT operations, projects, and technical staff of all company-held businesses, which include identifying and
executing technology projects and initiatives to accelerate revenue growth, optimize financial performance, and
drive operating efficiency. Maintain proactive involvement in various functional areas of all companies, with
heavy emphasis on plant operations and business administration.
      Implemented MPLS private data network and a Shore Tel unified messaging VOIP system across 6 different
       companies / locations, which significantly improved data sharing and online collaborative capabilities.
      Merged financial reporting functions through implementation of an MAS 500 Accounting System, which
       also consolidated IT support functions and led to a 20% reduction in IT staffing.
      Implemented a new MRP system that helped optimized manufacturing resources and reduce inventory
       resources.

technologies and systems that significantly improved financial visibility, consolidated IT support functions, and
drove new levels of productivity and manufacturing efficiency across all businesses and locations.
COMMERCIAL STEEL TREATING / CURTIS METAL FINISHING CO., Madison Heights, MI                                          1995 to 2008
A leading heat-treat and metal finishing company with 4 plants in Michigan and Illinois and more than $65 million in annual sales.
IT MANAGER
Oversaw all IT-related projects across all plant locations, in addition to establishing the strategic direction for all
new technologies. Maintained extensive involvement in all aspects of plant operations, with a strong focus on
driving continuous improvements in business processes, quality control, and safety initiatives. Managed all
aspects of information technology and systems, overseeing the performance of 4 direct reports.
      Implemented entire ERP application that replaced existing legacy system, which improved order
       fulfillment capacity by 25% and eliminated the need for several clerical positions.
      Delivered a 30% improvement in order tracking through implementation of a multi-plant bar code system.
      Drove significant enhancements in scheduling, shipping, and invoicing, while simultaneously reducing
       incoming customer service calls by 50%, by establishing technical alliances with larger customers and
       implementing a new automated status reporting system.
      Reduced downtime by 40% by modifying the IT architecture infrastructure across all plant locations.

An independent consulting firm that implemented and maintained ERP systems for business clients, with 50 to 100
employees, located in California, Illinois, Missouri, and Michigan.
SOFTWARE / BUSINESS CONSULTANT
Leveraged prior background in programming, technology consulting, sales and marketing, and customer
technology support to establish this specialized consulting practice that serviced a growing demand in the
manufacturing process industry for high-level ERP system implementation and support.
      Built base of customers across multiple states through personal business development activities, which
       included several major account relationships.
      Positioned practice as an indispensable business resource with major client, Commercial / Curtis, which
       resulted in a full-time employment offering and facilitated transition along future career path.



INDUSTRY SOFTWARE, INC., Rockford, IL                                                                                1990 to 1993
A software firm that developed applications for the manufacturing process control industry.
SOFTWARE / BUSINESS CONSULTANT
As the fourth employee hired during company’s early growth stage, focused primarily on developing and executing
strategic sales initiatives, including trade shows, sales seminars, on-site visits, and software demonstrations, to
drive awareness and growth with target customer base. In third year with the company, took on additional
responsibilities as Director of Customer Service, which included supervising the customer service staff, developing
and facilitating training classes, and organizing user group meetings. Managed all 15 company employees.
      Played instrumental role in growing operations from 3 to 15 employees within a 2-year period.
      Closed and implemented more than 50 system installations (from initial 4 installations at time of hire),
       each representing revenue ranging from $100,000 to $200,000.
      Developed and implemented a Software Support Maintenance Agreement that grew to generate more
       than 20% of overall company revenue.
      Organized weekly training sessions at strategic locations throughout the country, which reduced staff
       traveling needs by more than 30%.
      As Board member for all 3 years of tenure, assisted in the development and implementation of strategic
       business plans, working extensively with VCs and financial institutions.
