Activision VPN Client Installation Procedures
Installation
Download and unzip the Cisco VPN Client software.
Execute the setup.exe and follow the onscreen instructions.
Reboot after the installation completed.
Deterministic Network Enchancer will be added in the Network Adapter Setting.
Setup the VPN Connection
Start the VPN Client under the Cisco System VPN Client category in Start >
Programs
Click NEW button and follow the onscreen instructions.
Here is the setting:
Name of the new connection entry: Activision VPN
Host name of IP address of the server: vpngw.activision.com
Select the Group Access Information.
Name: vpnclients
Password: atvi#users
Check the Stateful Firewall (Always On) under the OPTION button.
Make sure to uncheck the Allow Local LAN Access under General/Properties tab.
What happens after connecting to the Activision Local Network?
Split Tunneling is disabled by design. The client’s local and Internet access have
been disabled. This is a security measure; not a network problem.
“My Network Place” does not show any network server or workstation. This is a
Microsoft and Cisco problem. Because the master browser will not get multicast
accross the tunnel.
Client network resources can be located by searching or mapping. User account
must have domain suffix such as atvi\tester.
Broadband access is only a little bit faster than a 56K modem. Expect delay!!!!!
