ACTIVITY SHEET 11: Movie project
Follow the steps below to create your own movie project:
1. Create a folder on your hard drive which can be used for your digital stories.
2. Within this folder, create two subfolders for your images and sounds. Copy some suitable
files into these folders.
3. Start Windows Movie Maker. Create and name a folder within the Collections pane for your
new digital story. Create two subfolders for your images and sounds.
4. Import the images and sounds that you had set up in your folders above.
5. Save your project.
6. Drag a few images and sounds into your timeline.
7. Create a sound file using Audacity.
8. Export as a WAV file and save into the folder with your other sound files.
9. Import this file that you created into your Movie Maker Tasks Pane.
10. Adjust the volume as desired and save your file again.
11. Edit at least one image in an imaging editing program of your choice. Save with a different
filename.
12. Add this/these images to the timeline of your project.
13. Add a video file to your folders on the hard drive.
14. Import this video clip into your collections.
15. Add this to the timeline.
16. Add one or more transitions to your project.
17. Add some music/sound to your project and save your file again.
18. Add a title to your project and save your file again.
19. Complete your movie and save to the hard drive of your computer.
20. Try burning it to CD (maybe use a rewritable one to practise first!)
21. See if this CD will play on another medium.
