Over the last several month JSC has been approached by
multiple organizations in regard to working together………
We love Jamestown Soccer Club as it is. We want to see continual efforts made to
improve coaching, facilities, and overall, but we want our kids to be able to play 54%
travel soccer in Jamestown at all age groups
Local Partnership - The club stays basically the same, but forms an official agreement
with another club to cross train teams within age groups, gain additional access to
facilities, and help the elite players gain recognition on a larger scale. JSC would still 28%
field teams in all age groups possible and play as the Jammers
Umbrella – JSC would operate as we do currently from U10-U12. At U13 and above
players join a group of other club’s players to form a larger pool having more
potential opportunities to form teams at the higher ages when the games go to the
full field and 11v11. U13 teams and above cannot play under the Jamestown 15%
Jammers colors so long as JSC is a member of the umbrella. They may still train in
or around Jamestown depending on the organizational set up. (PTFC is an Umbrella
organization currently serving Kernersville Soccer Association (KSA) and Piedmont
Soccer Alliance (PSA) )
Merger – Jamestown Soccer Club would no longer exist as it does today. JSC would
form an official agreement to play soccer under another clubs banner and
leadership. The organization may offer to allow teams with Jamestown players to 3%
train part or full time in Jamestown, but that would be dependent on the
organization and the team make up. Jamestown Jammers soccer would no longer
exist.
Conclusion: 82% of our players/parents want to have JSC be available to them at all
ages. We need to improve to keep that percentage high, but that is our focus.
