Work History
Production Artist, UTI, Avondale, AZ, May 2010-present
Transformed hard-to-use InDesign files to a user-friendly template, promoting ease of use in future development.
Added clearer and repetitive brand elements, combined styles, and removed unnecessary objects. Created
guidelines to enforce brand consistency. As a result, the products that are now being produced have a clearer
branded look.
Reformatted more than 300 poorly designed tests, which were difficult for students to understand and instructors
to grade. Organized the design details into a complete user experience design specification to be used as a
blueprint for future development.
Helped develop processes for streamlining production by adding more quality checks to proofing process. The
quality of the books has increased, improving the student/teacher experience and helping reach business
objectives.
Senior Web/Graphic Designer, Gartner, Stamford, CT, January 2007-April 2010
Created interface conceptualizations, wire-frame diagrams and design sketches for a project, which increased
visitor traffic by 50%.
Translated the need for a print and web newsletter into a sophisticated new print product line making optimal use
of typography, color theory and layout to enhance user experience.
Translated internal client requirements into concepts and elegant user designs, interaction models, user task
flows, screen designs and user interface details that promoted ease of use and optimized the user experience.
Senior Designer, Gartner, Stamford, CT, October 1997-December 2006
Optimized images for use in electronic media and print, satisfying a need for high quality output.
Met client objectives and deadlines by serving as liaison between printers and internal clients.
Formatted collateral pieces for Marketing while maintaining company-branding guidelines.
Developed personal relationships with print vendors, which resulted in significant cost-savings for the company.
Worked with the company’s Marketing team to design a newsletter according to new branding style. Named
Brand Ambassador for integrating the new brand elements into my design.
