STRENGTHS
Analytical, Versatile, Quick Learner. Team Player, Possess excellent communication skills, and a valuable asset to
the organization.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
The University of Texas at Dallas 01/04 – Till date
RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Developed a new technique ED3M to estimate total number of defects in a software product during testing.
Developed a Bayesian estimation technique called BayesED3M to improve the initial estimation of defects by
using the historical data to compensate for noisy data. Validated using industrial and simulation data sets.
Currently investigating the noise covariance matrix for defect data, determination of covariance matrix will
lead to the use of Kalman filter to reduce the noise in the data. Future extension include stochastic state space
model of the software test process. Implemented in Matlab.
Adea Solutions Inc. 03/03 – 08/03
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Worked on the development of a throw away prototype of the web based Help Desk software.
Participated in elicitation, specification and verification of the requirements from users and domain experts.
Used semi formal methods and UML modeling for collecting and specifying the user needs.
Participated in design and development of application, documented issues of concern and developed test cases.
Developed and normalized database using SQL Server 2000.
Implemented using ASP.NET and ADO.NET on Visual Studio.Net.

PROJECTS
1. JFreeChart Assistant Tool (JAT):
Developed GUI and automatic code generating tool called JAT for JFreeChart, a free Java Chart Library.
For the input data and selected chart types, desired code is automatically generated that can be executed to
carry out the desired operation.
Used iterative waterfall model. Developed Project Management Plan and Software Quality Assurance
Plan following the widely accepted industrial standards.
Documented each phase of the development cycle and followed strict quality assurance guidelines. Used
CVS to facilitate Configuration Management.
Designed in UML and implemented in Java using Servlets and EJBS on J2EE platform.
2. Distributed Application:
Designed a distributed global hash table that is accessible to concurrent clients.
Developed name resolution and load balancing mechanisms in the distributed environment.
Implemented in C++ on SUN Solaris platform using socket APIs and threads.
