Welcome to the Junior League of Gainesville! As you embark on your League career, there are
many members eager to get to know you. It is a League custom to introduce the New Member
Class in our League Lines quarterly newsletter. Please take a few moments to answer the
questions below for publication.

NEW MEMBER AGREEMENT
NEW MEMBER’S NAME:
The prospective member must acknowledge the following membership responsibilities:
• I agree to accept and complete the training required by the Membership Development
Committee during my new member year.
• I agree to meet the financial requirements of The Junior League of Gainesville. This includes a
New Member course fee of $35 and 2011-2012 annual dues of $100. Both the new member course
fee and annual dues are due with this application (total of $135). Junior League arrangements
fees of $100.00, due on October 1st, and annual dues for 2012-2013 of $100.00 due on March 1,
2012.
• I understand that the new member course fee and annual dues payments are non-refundable
and nontransferable.
• I agree to fulfill the time commitments of membership and placement.
The New Member year curricula trains members to become effective volunteers and allows each
New Member to demonstrate that she has the time and commitment for volunteer work through
the Junior League of Gainesville, Inc.
Each New Member of the Junior League of Gainesville, Inc. is responsible for the following:
Attend Orientation/Historical Tour to be held on TBA
Attend 9 New Member meetings
Attend 2 New Member socials
Participate in the designated New Member Class Project
Attend 6 General Membership meetings
Donate $100 worth of items to the Thrift Shop
Volunteer 9 hours (three 3-hour shifts) in the Thrift Shop
Complete 1 Done In A Day project (DIAD)
I fully understand the responsibilities of New Member membership and agree to complete the
above responsibilities.
