The Imam and the Pastor:
This documentary film brings to life the reconciliation between Imam Muhammad
Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye, and their peace-making initiatives which have
ensued. They were leaders of militant groups involved in conflict between
Muslims and Christians in Kaduna, northern Nigeria. Now they are taking bold
initiatives to promote co-operation and resolve conflicts. It is a story of
forgiveness and a case study of grass-roots initiatives to rebuild communities
torn apart by conflict.
You can view a trailer to the film at www.fltfilms.org.uk/imam.html
Geoffrey Craig works with Initiatives of Change, a faith-based charity working to
build trust between people, communities, races and nations.

The Life We Share :
This study is designed to encourage exploration in two directions. The first is
outward, towards an understanding of five faiths. The second direction is inward,
towards a deeper understanding of Christian faith and witness within a religiously
diverse society. Vital within interfaith relations is the ability to listen to and be
challenged by the witness of 'the other' with non-judgemental openness.
Important too is the task of developing our own spiritual lives, so that we can live
more justly and share more authentically what we believe. Both are central to the
different forms of interfaith dialogue that exist: the dialogue of life when people of
different faiths enrich one another through living together; the dialogue that
emerges when faiths act together for the common good; the intellectual dialogue
that seeks an ever greater understanding of truth; and the dialogue of religious
experience when insights from prayer, worship and meditation are shared.
