PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – FALL 2010
Inside this issue: Dear Neighbors:
Well it was a sweltering Summer and I and my electric bill are very much looking
forward to this Fall. Heat aside, we had a great day for our Annual July 4th parade
President’s Message & picnic. Much thanks go to our early morning grass cutters Pete McKenna &
Mark Gregory, our Grillers who braved the usual heat and hunger Mark Merianos,
Pete McKenna & Tony Dill, our games leaders John Bielson & Jeff Sloan, our food
Deepdale News shoppers (Aaron Dagostino and Steve Schiff) and to all who helped set up and
clean up (especially Lisa Gregory & Heidi McKenna). See photos under the Events
section of www.deepdalecivic.com.

Hayride – Saturday, October 9th (see pg 6)
Old Eagle Spelling Bee – Sunday, October 10th (see pg 5)

Information Deepdale Fall Fun Run – Details coming soon
As you can see, we are working on confirming a Fall Deepdale Fun Run. If we are
OES Events able to secure the proper support, look for this 5k run to be held the last weekend
in October. We will send out details via email and also post the information on
Hayride and Bonfire All Deepdale residents are invited to attend the Annual Meeting, which will be
held Tuesday, October 19th 7.30pm at Mary Haskins’ house (207 Deepdale Rd). As
of now, we are trying to confirm a representative from the Tredyffrin Township
Parks & Recreation board to provide updates and address any questions we have.
If you plan to attend or would simply like to submit questions/comments, please
email them to Joe Przybylowski (email@example.com).
At this meeting we will also confirm Board members and review our planning
activities. We are closing in on the first year of service for many of the Deepdale
Civic Association (DCA) Officers and Directors. Thankfully most members have
indicated their eagerness to stay on board for another year (positions are 2 or 3
year positions), however, if you are interested in volunteering to be part of the
Board, please contact Joe Przybylowski.
Thanks to all those that have paid their 2010-2011 dues which subsidize our
annual events, pay for our newsletters, directory production and maintenance of
traffic islands. We have been able to hold the amount ($16) steady for several
years, however, participation is down slightly for this fiscal year. If you have not
yet paid your dues, please use the attached envelope and drop off or send to Peter
Cordray at 57 Deepdale Rd (cash or check made to “Deepdale Civic”).
Hope to see you at this year’s Fall events – Go Phillies! Go Eagles!
- Joe Przybylowski
