5 quick, easy office pranks 1/13/2011 11:51:00 AM

1. Name-change Macro: Thanks to Jim Halpurt for inspiring this one. It was a

great success for me...every time Natalie Schmit typed her name in an email, the

macro would replace it with "toilet_water." Spell check caught it before she

embarrassed herself, so no real harm done :) See below for the macro, or just use

the “find” and “replace” AutoCorrect function if your target uses “Outlook.”

2. Mouse Switch -- We plugged Heather's mouse into Mike's computer, and vice-

versa (strung the cord through the vent in their shared wall). I went to the

"bathroom" during an all-team meeting to pull the prank. Both believed that their

computers were possessed.

3. "Made-you-look-incest": This one got us in some trouble. Inspired by Austrian

freak Josel Fritzel (who locked his daughter in a dungeon and fathered seven of

her children)… he looks as creepy as you'd expect (see Google images). Since

everyone seemed so disturbed by his picture, Nat and I went into the dashboard

and changed sheet 1 of the ad-warning report and forecast variance reports blown-

up pic of Josef Fritzel's face.

4. Flipped Mathiew’s computer display, so that it showed everything upside-down.

Accomplish by:

1. Get a screen shot of your whole screen. Press ctrl-alt-printScreen on

Windows. On a Mac press Shift-Cmd-3 simultaneously.

2. Go to paint in Windows. Go to Preview on a Mac.

3. Press Ctrl+V to paste.

4. Rotate it upsidedown.

5. Save as background.

6. Go To your desktop and right click.

7. Click properties

8. Go to browse.

9. Browse the saved upsidedown screenshot

10. Press OK.

11. Right Click on desktop.

12. Go to arrange icons. Click show desktop icons.

13. Hide the task bar!

OR

***for this method, a computer running Windows 7 is needed.

1. Right-click a blank space on your desktop and click "Screen resolution".

2. In the "Orientation" dropdown, select "Landscape (flipped)".

3. To undo this, repeat the same steps, except for the orientation option.

Select "Landscape" instead.

5. Changed the shortcuts on Natalie’s desktop to funny audio files (loud sex

noises), and then turned the volume all the way up. SO funny!
