Travel SMTP
Instructions Apple iPhone & iTouch iOS3
This manual is written for users who already have an e-mail account configured in your
Apple iPhone / iTouch iOS3 and will therefore only focus on how to change the SMTP server.
Step 1:
Select Settings from the screen.
Step 2:
Click on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Step 3:
Click on the account where you want to
configure Travel SMTP as the outgoing mail
server.
Step 4:
Do not change your Incoming Mail Server
settings.
Click on the SMTP server at the Outgoing
Mail Server section.
Step 5:
In this example, smtp.kpnplanet.nl is the
previous smtp server that will replaced with the
Travel SMTP server. Click on the Primary
Server to go to the next menu.
Step 6:
In the Host Name field, enter:
smtp.travelsmtp.com
Enter the username and password you
received from us in the User Name and
Password fields.
Set the Use SSL field to OFF (or if you
want your e-mails to be send out in
encrypted form, you can turn it on).
In the Server Port field, enter 587 or
2525.
Click on the Authentication field and go
to the next step.
Step 7:
Select MD5 Challenge-Response as the
authentication method.
