Brainwashed
Great Album, Disregard The Cover!
Brainwashed is an excellent album that is easier to consider when its
author has not so recently died. George Harrison touched ma ny people
and his death probably did not allow for an objective view of his last record.
It is as excellent as billed, if not more, but we now know it is not just sorrow
that makes us say this. There are many great songs and in them, George,
the critic of the material world is alive and well. His overall view of the
need for faith in God shines through. His vision of God was a Hindu one to
be sure, but it nevertheless has much in common with the Christian view of
God as well. As a result, much of what he says is sympathetic to the
Christian mind, while it is rejected by the secular one. I thank God for
George Harrison and I recommend his last album for what it teaches and
says about the man.
