Circle words to define or tone word
Use different symbols for the different parts
of annotation. You will have to make a key
to differentiate between the symbols.

beyond the literal
A - Attitude or tone
S - Shifts in speakers and in attitudes
T - Title (deeper meaning)
T - Theme (determine what the poet is saying)
D - Devices (Literary elements)
