Special Equipment Amount (SEA) Loans Form
The Special Equipment Amount (SEA) funding is provided to school boards to assist with the costs of
purchasing essential equipment to support students with special needs. This equipment is to provide
students with access to the Ontario Curriculum and is board property.
From time to time it may be necessary and deemed beneficial for students to use the equipment at home to
complete school work. The Rainy River District School Board will afford this privilege to students who have
demonstrated regular and responsible use of the equipment for school purposes.
This is to certify that I,__________________________(parent name), understand the SEA equipment (listed
below) will be on loan to my child, _________________________(student name), to be used at home from
time to time, for academic purposes. The equipment belongs to the Rainy River District School Board and
needs to be returned by __________________________ (indicate date). I take responsibility for ensuring
that the equipment is used only for its intended purposes and understand that the safeguards put in place by the
Rainy River District School Board may not restrict internet activity at home.
