Alright What better way to top off what I am learning about antioxidants

than talkin about aging and antioxidants. There are many benefits to

getting alot of antioxidants in your body but i would have to say that

this one interested me the most. i would like to write about how this

works and what you can do and the types of food that could help people

age more gracefully.How this Works Well one of the member's of

antioxidants that helps with aging is phytonutrients. This is a strong

member that help's to fight the body against oxidation. As we get older

our body's are more likely to feel the effects of oxidation. When this

happens it basically mean that we have way to many free radical's

bouncing around in our body's. By fighting against these free radicals it

will help fight aganinst cell damage and by theory by doing this it

help's fight against the signs of aging. I would like to share what I

have read from webmd.com which is an expert explaining his views on this

subject. "Beyond antioxidants, some other compounds in foods can affect

aging. They can be classified according to their impact on inflammation

at the cellular level, experts say."All foods fit into three categories:

pro-inflammatory, neutral, or anti-inflammatory," says dermatologist and

best-selling author, Nicholas Perricone, MD.Perricone says you can help

to slow aging at the cellular level by choosing foods that are anti-

inflammatory and rich in antioxidants."Age-related changes may be

reversed by consuming foods and beverages that are rich in a variety of

compounds, including antioxidants, and are anti-inflammatory, such as

cold-water fish and richly colored fruits and vegetables," he says.On the

other hand, foods classified as pro-inflammatory can accelerate aging,

Perricone says.If "we eat large amounts of saturated or trans fatty

acids, sugars, and starches, insulin levels surge and trigger an anti-

inflammatory response and accelerate the aging process," says

Perricone.While the benefits to eating healthy are many, Perricone notes

that diet is certainly not the only factor that affects the aging

process."Stress, hormones, ultraviolet light, and a weakened immune

system also contribute to aging," he says.Still, making smart lifestyle

choices are within your control, and are among the best things you can do

to help prevent disease and retard aging." Differents Foods For healthy

Aging Here's a list of foods that could help reduce the signs of aging

and are healthy for you. This list contain's food's like fish a great and

has many more health benefit's and fruits and vegetables are powerhouses

of antioxidants. Whole grains which can help lower blood cholesterol

levels from the fiber, and also have phytonutrient content equal to any

fruit or vegetable. Legumes,yogurt, nuts are also healthy foods for you

for many differents reason's. There is also what they call super-foods

which is packed with anti-inflammatory content in them. This list consist

of acai fruit, allium vegetables: garlic, onions, etc. and yogurt just to

name a few there are more super fruits this was just a small list. These

super fruits are great healthy foods that can be added to a diet to help

fight against the signs of aging.
