complete and the opening is planned for Memorial Day weekend 2007. Samantha has

Council Committees, Coordinator and Member Updates:
Ways and Means – Tom Nygren reported on resources, needs and opportunities,
including organization, outreach, education and projects. There is a need to find in- kind,
private sponsorship, pro bono and independent funding sources. Information will be
distributed to those requesting it.
Restoration Committee – Ron Garst reported on OWEB’s prioritization framework used
to determine funding for OWEB funded watershed restoration projects. The new format,
as of last month, standardizes the list of project types while looking at limiting factors
(e.g. water quality, topography, etc.), activities and outcomes. There will be a meeting in
November during which input will be given.
April asked if Council members would be interested in attending OSU Extension training
for watershed councils on Effective Meetings and/or Engaging Your Board.
