Asking for gifts -
You can add a little verse to your invitations or as an additional note to the guest if you
wish to receive monetary donations instead of gifts. The following are some creative ways
of asking for money instead of gifts;
E xample 1-
We already have most items needed to 'set up house' and this is the reason for us choosing a
wedding wishing well.
At the reception there will be a wishing well in which we would love to receive your greeting
card or contribution. This will be a great way for us to make our honeymoon even better. If it
is however a gift you find, please feel assured we will not mind.
E xample 2-
Because at first we lived in sin
We've got the sheets and a rubbish bin
A gift from you would be swell
But we'd prefer a donation to our Wishing Well!!
E xample 3-
If you were thinking of giving a gift, to help us on our way.
A gift of cash towards our house (or honeymoon), would really make our day.
However, if you prefer to purchase a gift, feel free to surprise us in your own way.
Personalising
Your Invitations
The design of your invitation should reflect the style of your wedding. They
inform the guests of the important information of your wedding i.e.; who is
invited, what the event is, when it is, and where it is. Remember that your
invitations are your guest’s first impression of your wedding and what they can
expect from the day.
Consider your invitations style, colour and font used, do they match the style of
your wedding?
I can design your invitations to your needs. If there is particular colours,
materials or fonts you wish to have on your invitations, please feel free to ask
and I will be able to create your unique invitations (some materials may incur an
additional cost).
The following are sample fonts that you may choose from, or if you have another
font in mind, please ask and I will do my best to accommodate your request.
Remember that the font you choose should be clear and easy to read.
