An Instant Cult Classic
I'm not a huge fan of zombie movies, but this comic spin on the genre is
simply delicious. Shaun ( Simon Pegg ) is a dead-ender who is so
awesomely oblivious to everything around him, including his girlfriend (
until she leaves him ), that it is surprising that the zombies shuffling about
even notice that he's alive. Shuan, and his horribly, flatulant friend Ed (
Nick Frost as the ultimate degenerate, slacker ) become the most unlikely
saviors of London ever, exhibiting by turns, density far beyond that of lead,
excellent use of a cricket paddle, and a salient ineptitude that is truly mind-
blowing in its intensity. SHAUN OF THE DEAD is loads of fun from
beginning to end, with not a dull moment to be had.
