Intensity by Dean Koontz
To Paraphrase Chyna: Awake And Unkept
A young woman staying as a guest in a Napa Valley farmhouse becomes
trapped in a fight for survival with a self-proclaimed homicidal adventurer,
and races to warn his next intended victim. Unrelentingly terrifying, this
book lives up to its name.
As I tried to allude to in the review's title, I could not out this book down;
therefore, I was awake and unkept. (Read the book - you'lll know to what I
am referring)
I hate to be so bold as to call this story "perfect" but it was a thoroughly
enjoyable read - there was a small bit of establishing characters and
backstory, followed by nearly uninterrupted action, climaxed nicely with a
little "call back", then wrapped-up nicely in the denouement.
While there were some eyebrow raising twists, I would not ch aracterize
any necessarily as plot holes. Definitely nothing that would break the flow
or enjoyment of reading the book.
What more to say? This was just a fun, exciting, cover-to-cover read!
