National Restaurant Chain Creates User-Generated Video Contest to Promote New Wing Sauce

SHARON, Pa. – December 1, 2009 – Quaker Steak & Lube, the award-winning automotive-
themed restaurant chain known for its 21 chicken wing sauce varieties, recently unveiled its
latest sauce, the Triple Atomic, and announced the launch of the Triple Atomic Tough Video
Challenge to help introduce it to the world.

Beginning on December 12, Quaker Steak & Lube will ask consumers to demonstrate how tough
they really are by creating a 30-second video and uploading it to TripleAtomicTough.com,
powered by YouTube. Videos will be judged on originality, overall appeal and motivation factor.
A panel of judges will narrow down the entries to the Top ten contestants, which will then be
revealed on the restaurant chain’s official Facebook Fan page and YouTube Channel. The world
will then have a chance to vote online for their favorite video. The grand-prize winner will
receive free wings for three years, and two runner-up videos will receive a $250 and $100 gift
card.

“We want to know if you’re tough enough to handle the heat of our latest sauce,” said Bob
Mentrek, senior vice president of promotions and marketing at Quaker Steak & Lube. “This
isn’t an eating contest; it’s a state of mind. We’re asking The Lube fan nation to prove to us why
they are tougher, and hotter, than the hottest wings around.”
