BREAKING THE RULES
Each morning the students will start on a Green Card. If the student remains
on this color until the end of the day, he/she will receive two stickers to post on
his/her sticker chart (this is also their weekly discipline chart that will be sent home
daily).
First Time (Yellow Card): The student gets a Warning. Will receive one sticker.
Second Time (Red Card): The student will lose 5 minutes of recess time.
Third Time (Orange Card): The student will lose 10 minutes of recess time and a
note will be sent home to be signed and returned.
Fourth time (Purple Card): The student will miss all of recess time, a phone call
will be made home, and a trip to the office.
Severe disruptions: The student will automatically go to the Principal’s office.

Appropriate behavior will be reinforced in a variety of ways. The following
are ways in our classroom the students will be rewarded for positive behavior.
Sticker Chart: (Individual reward)
Students will work on earning stickers daily. Students will get stickers for positive
behavior. The student will earn two stickers for a green card and one sticker for a
yellow card. The students can also earn additional stickers throughout the day for
such things as on task behavior, hard work, following directions/rules, etc. The
goal is to reinforce positive attitudes, positive behaviors, and hard work. At the end
of the week on Friday, the students will get an opportunity to trade their stickers for
prizes.
--10 stickers– Treat Basket
--15 or more stickers – Treasure Box or two items from the Treat Basket
